A special thanks

February 17, 2011

By Staff Reporter

Next February will mark the twentieth anniversary of the assassination of a man who fearlessly stood for the rule of law but, who also tragically gave his life for it.
Irish America’s role in the Finucane campaign for justice has been of incalculable value but will be made clear in more measurable terms in the coming months as funds are raised on this side of the Atlantic to help underwrite a three day gathering at Trinity College Dublin in February, 2009 that is aimed at honoring Pat’s life and legacy.
The Irish Echo was proud to as help get the fundraising process underway with a breakfast last week at Harbor Lights in Manhattan’s South Street Seaport.
The Echo would like to thank attendees and supporters of the Pat Finucane Conference fundraising breakfast.
All monies raised at the breakfast will go direct to the Pat Finucane Life and Legacy Conference organizers. Particvular thanks are due to: Clare Barry, Mike Breen, Ambassador Niall Burgess, Deputy Consul of Ireland Breand_n
