Which means that, unless she gets swept up in a whirlwind romance (sort of the J-Lo and Ben Affleck scenario), the New Year will find Andrea unhitched.
Though the breakup comes as a bit of surprise, we hear that the split occurred a couple of months ago. And unlike brother Jim, whose dating travails are grist for the gossip mill in Ireland, Andrea and Giles have maintained a dignified silence since the breakup.
The talk on corners confirms that the sex singer is again footloose and fancy-free.
“Andrea ended her romance with Giles just recently,” said a band insider. The singer has spent the last few weeks on the Isle of Man, where her upcoming movie, “The Great Ceili War,” is being filmed. Andrea plays the lead in this romantic comedy, which also stars Jim Broadbent, Colm Meaney, and hunky Patrick Bergin.
“She has been away for quite a while,” said the source. “It may have been one of the reasons for the break up. All we know is that she has said it’s finished.”
A word of advice, Andrea: Watch out for Patrick Bergin. He’s cute and really, really charming. (But you knew that.)
