Black and the Green line-up unveiled

Scheduled for September 10 in New York, the Black and the Green will celebrate linkages between African Americans and Irish America and was inspired by the elevation to the White House of the first president of mixed African American and Irish roots.
Set to be recognized at the event are:
New York City Comptroller Bill Thompson, who has invested $150 million of city pension funds in economic development projects aimed at bolstering the peace in Northern Ireland and the border counties.
State Representative for Harlem Denny Farrell, who is also a proud member of the Friendly Sons of St. Patrick.
