Boxing Roundup: Duddy prepares for Garden debut

In his first bout since obliterating Leonard Pierre in 83 seconds on national television last March, Duddy is scheduled to go six rounds with Texas State middleweight titlist Victor Lares (10-1, 3 KOs) on the undercard of Miguel Cotto’s WBO light-welterweight defense against Mohamad Abdulaev.
The show is promoted by Bob Arum’s Top Rank, a rival of the flamboyant Don King, who provided four tickets to Team Duddy for last weekend’s event, at which the Derry Destroyer was originally scheduled to appear.
