British drop extraditions against H-Block 3

Kevin Barry Artt is ecstatic. He can now leave Northern California on the spur of the moment and visit his 12-year-old daughter in Los Angeles.

Artt’s new-found freedom to act on a whim also applies to his fellow H-Block escapees, Pól Brennan and Terence Kirby, after the British government last week dropped extradition proceedings against all individuals in other countries – more than 20 in all – who would have been released by now under the terms of the Good Friday accord.
