The fifth annual North American Camogie Association International 7-a-side tournament will take place in Van Cortlandt Park on Saturday, Aug. 22, from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Those participating include visiting teams from Cork and Kildare as well as the local New York and Boston teams. An entertaining day of camogie is ensured and presentation of prizes and reception for all teams will take place after the day’s events in the Lansdowne Bar.
Meanwhile, on Sunday at 4:30 p.m. in Gaelic Park, an Irish combination will take on the best that North America has to offer when a combined team from Cork/Kildare plays a team composed of the cream of the four East Coast-based camogie clubs.
Also, the Railway Cup between Ulster and Leinster will be played in Van Cortlandt Park this Thursday, Aug. 20, at 6:00 pm.
Finally, the All-Star team will travel to Philadelphia on Sunday, Aug. 23, to play a challenge match against Philadelphia. Bus departs the Southbend at 12:30 pm.
