St. Joseph’s Susan Moran was named to the Atlantic 10’s All-Conference women’s basketball second team. Moran, a sophomore forward from Tullamore, Co. Offaly, led the Atlantic 10 in scoring, averaging 16.4 points per game to finish ahead of St. Bonaventure’s Melissa Fazio, at 15.8.
Moran was also fourth in the conference in field goal percentage, connecting at a 52 percent clip. Free throws weren’t a problem, either. She was fifth in the conference with a 79.0 percent average. She also made her presence known around the boards. Her 7.2 caroms per game was fourth best.
The term student-athlete is well applied in Moran’s case. She was also named to the Atlantic 10’s All-Academic team.
