Connacht blew rugby’s Interprovincial series wide open with a dramatic injury-time victory over Leinster at the Sportsground last weekend. Simon Allnutt’s late try and conversion gave Connacht a 24-23 win and moved the province off the bottom of the table.
Munster, meanwhile, easily overcame Ulster by 31-9 at Musgrave Park and now take on Leinster in a championship decider in two weeks. If Connacht defeat Ulster in their last game, they will move up to second place and qualify for next season’s European Cup.
