Cork: far-flung brood returns

Christiana Moloney received what family members called the “surprise of her life” on a recent Saturday night when she attended a family meal at the Auld Triangle Restaurant.
Upon entering the restaurant Moloney was surprised to see her daughter Martina, who lives in England and was not expected home for Christmas. But her surprise soon turned to amazement as she caught sight of two of her other daughters, who were home from Australia, and her son who lives in America.
Siblings Denis, Noreen, Fudge, Mary, Martina, Barry, Michael, John, Eileen and Sharon Moloney had not been together since a family wedding in 1979.
