In more Corrs news, we hear that lead singer Andrea is making progress on her film career. The stunning singer, known almost as much for her good looks as for her dulcet tones, is up for a part in “The Santa Claus Adventure,” alongside John Goodman, Alan Cumming and Kristin Scott Thomas. Andrea’s filmography to date includes “The Commitments,” “Evita” and “The Great Ceili Wars.”
By the way, those of you who’ve been moaning about the lack of a followup to their successful “In Blue” album can just straighten yourselves up, like. The band is in the studio right as we type this, putting the finishing touches on a new album, which will hit stores in October. The family band from Dundalk, Co. Louth, is playing in the big leagues this time around: American rocker Sheryl Crowe has produced three of the 13 tracks on the album. Which, to paraphrase a line from one of her big hits, should make them happy . . .
