Crowe to tie the knot

The “Gladiator” star has been hinting for months that he was ready to settle down and raise a family. In between well-publicized bar brawls in London and thereabouts, he has moaned to the press about the time he’s been forced to spend away from Spencer. The pair have been dating on and off since the late 1980s.
At the risk of sounding catty, we’ll bet Russell’s former flame, Meg Ryan — whom he dated shortly after she split from husband Dennis Quaid — will probably be green with envy when she gets a gawk at Danielle’s $65,000 Harry Winston engagement ring. But she shouldn’t be checking her mail for an invitation to the hen night just yet — no date’s been set.
