Dublin is the eighth most expensive city in Europe, and the fourth most expensive capital, according to the survey, which is annual, and covers 144 cities and measures the cost of items such as housing, transport and food.
Only London, Copenhagen, and Paris were the three European capitals found to be more expensive than Dublin.
New York was given the base of 100 points to start the survey and had other cities measures against it. Dublin was a perfect match.
The most expensive city in the world was found to be Tokyo.
The survey is studied closely by governments and multinational companies.
This news comes barely a week after Monopoly, the beloved board game, was relaunched in Dublin to reflect the current market rates.
Makers said they had to change the game to take account of the boom.
