Sharpshooting Donegal clinched the Philadelphia senior title Sunday with a hard-fought victory over Derry.

In between those scores Derry had a monopoly on possession but failed to capitalize. A goal by Ryan Stringer early in the second half brought Derry to within one point, and it took heroic defending from Donegal’s Barney McDermott and Shane McCormack to keep Derry at bay.
