The Derry Destroyer, who’s ranked 12th by the World Boxing Organization, will take Friday off for a little turkey before returning to the gym on Saturday. He’s in intensive training for the January 23 eight-rounder with Mexican Juan Astorga at Madison Square Garden.
He’ll be at Gleason’s Gym on Christmas Eve, celebrate December 25th with family and friends, and then jump back in the ring at to Brooklyn Heights the day.
