DUBLIN — Dubliner Brian Meehan, a suspect in the investigation of the murder of journalist Veronica Guerin two years ago, has been extradited from the Netherlands to face a series of charges in the Special Criminal Court.
Independent Newspapers crime reporter Guerin, 33, was gunned down in her car by two men on a motorcycle at a suburban traffic lights in June 1996. She had been investigating the activities of the city’s drug barons.
