NETWORK
It’s not who you know. . . it’s who you get to know. Networking will always be a big part of any job search. So get the word out to family and friends that you are actively seeking employment. Then take the initiative at social gatherings and introduce yourself to people who work in the sphere in which you are interested.

WALK TALL
It is inevitable that you will encounter a lot of rejection as you seek employment. The vital thing is not to take this personally. Even people who believe they are thick-skinned can get worn down by persistent rejection. The danger is that your energy will get sapped to the point where you don’t apply for the job that would have made a perfect match for you. Stay optimistic and persistent.

CLUB TOGETHER
Job-hunting can often seem like a solitary and difficult experience. But Job clubs exist to counteract feelings of isolation. If you meet with other people going through the same experiences, you may all be able to draw strength and enthusiasm from each other.
