Be Flexible
A lot of people who work creative jobs do so for more than one employer. Some work from home all the time, others go to the offices of several different companies over the course of a week. Learn to love this type of arrangement — if you hate it, it might be difficult to launch a career in this sector.
Perseverance
Since creative jobs are much sought-after it is inevitable that everyone, no matter how talented, will have to cope with setbacks or periods when things don’t seem to be going their way. An ability to persevere through the tough times is a crucial asset.
Network

An enormous number of posts are filled on the recommendation of someone working on the same project. That being so, it is vital you get to know people, whether by attending events related to your chosen industry or, if necessary, cold-calling and trying to arrange meetings.
