Editorial The dreary steeples

A wave of optimism swept across the land, following the endorsement on May 22 of the Belfast Agreement. However, in the wake of last weekend’s bloody disturbances in Portadown, that wave seems to have receded somewhat, as, to quote Winston Churchill, the
