The Emerald Isle Immigration center has expanded its Woodlawn offices serving the Irish immigrant community in the North Bronx and Yonkers.

The new facilities, located adjacent to the existing offices just off Katonah Avenue on 236 St. in Woodlawn, will enable the EIIC to provide group workshops and expanded counseling services to better meet the needs of the community it serves.

A ribbon-cutting and re-opening celebration took place, yesterday, Tuesday..

To kick off the expanded services being offered, the EIIC is hosting a series of information seminars and workshops.

On this Thursday, Feb. 24, Seamus Dwyer will conduct a seminar on finance and investing. Due to the expected interest in this topic, this meeting will be held in Room 16 of the Parish Center of St. Barnabas Church on E. 241 Street in Woodlawn.

On Tuesday, Feb. 29 and Thursday, March 2, the EIIC will host two real estate workshops. Attendees will be able to ask anything they want to know about home ownership, qualifying for a mortgage, and other real estate matters. Attendance will be limited to the first 20 people who sign up, walk-ins will be permitted only to the extent space allows.
