Gift of love

Kelly and Delia Stokes, of Phoenix, Ariz., made the generous donation last week after traveling to County Clare to meet with council and safety representatives.
The facility will be called “The Nicholas Room,” after their son, whom Stokes gave birth to prematurely in July whilst the couple was visiting the Irish landmark. He died shortly afterwards.
“The ladies here working at the Cliffs showed no fear. When I approached them at the desk on the day and told them what was happening, they took charge, they took control and marched us right into a separate room,” Delia told the Irish Independent newspaper.
“They were very compassionate, very comforting, told us everything was going to be okay, don’t panic and that was the biggest blessing of all,” she said.
The Stokes were traveling back to Arizona as the Echo went to print and could not be reached for comment.
