On Thursday, March 15, the Irish Business Organization of New York will present its 5th annual IBO exhibition and celebration of Irish heritage at the Roseland Ballroom in Manhattan. The exhibition will comprise three special events: the exhibition itself from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., a panel discussion from 6-7:30 p.m. and live music and dancing from 8-11 p.m.

The IBO exhibition is Day 1 of the three-day "Irish Expo 2001," a trinity of events that showcase the best in Irish music, culture and business. The entire day, which is free to all, is packed with seminars about Irish heritage and culture, with live demonstrations throughout the day. The exhibition will also feature offerings from Irish and Irish-American industries and tri-state Irish businesses. The businesses at the show will have the opportunity to network, increase the visibility of their products, and display their skills, talents and plans for the future.

At the conclusion of the trade show, the evening continues with the much anticipated panel discussion "Irish in America, success stories from labor to Dot Com." The discussion will also profile a few of the Irish and Irish-American business people that have left a mark on the 20th Century. The panel will share their accomplishments and outline their strategies for business success while discussing the influence their Irish heritage had on their lives. Some of the fields represented will include the media, construction, real estate, publishing, finance and entertainment.

"The IBO exhibition is the premiere event for Irish and Irish-American businesses to showcase their exceptional products and skills. We look forward to not only demonstrating the diversity of Irish and Irish-American businesses, but also to educating our community about Irish Heritage," said the event chairperson, Christine DiPasquale.

The fifth annual IBO exhibition will be held in the Roseland Ballroom at 239 W. 52nd St., between Broadway and 8th Avenue. For details, call the IBO at (212) 750 8118 or visit the website at www.ibo-ny.com.
