The Ireland Chamber of Commerce in the U.S. will again host the annual business awards dinner and golf outing, to be held on Tuesday, June 26, at the Kildare Hotel & Country Club in Ireland, site of the Ryder Cup 2005.
Making the announcement, ICCUSA president/CEO Maurice A. Buckley said that his organization is working with the Irish Echo newspaper, the Dublin Chamber of Commerce, and the Northern Ireland Chamber of Commerce and Industry in presenting the event, which honors U.S. firms that have made significant contributions to Ireland’s economic well-being.
A special edition of "IE," the Irish Echo’s quarterly supplement, will be published, with contents devoted to Ireland’s current economic conditions along with profiles of this year’s winners. In 2000, the companies cited were Dell, Compaq, Intel Ireland, Citibank, Microsoft, Gateway, Hewlett Packard, Schering-Plough, Thermo-King and Abbott Laboratories.
On the morning of the 26th, the golf outing for members of ICCUSA, the Dublin and Northern Ireland Chambers, and their guests will be held at the K Club course. Tee times, allotted on a first-come, first-served basis, will be limited to 10 teams, Buckley stated. The fee will be $95.
Tickets for the awards dinner are $115 per person. Tables are available at $1,150. Accommodations at the K Club are priced from $295 per night or nearby at Barberstown Castle at $115.
"Thanks to the fine working relationships we have set up with the Dublin Chamber of Commerce and the Northern Ireland Chamber of Commerce and Industry," Buckley pointed out, "this program will provide a splendid opportunity for useful networking with government officials and senior management representatives of businesses that have been operating successfully in all parts of Ireland."
