In other news . . . U2 looks to a harder Edge

In an interview with an online magazine, guitarist The Edge has revealed that he’s hoping to inject a harder sound into the new songs.
“Right now, my instinct is to make a very raw kind of guitar, bass, drums — an album with a lot of attitude,” he said.
The rock icon added that he wants to capture “a lot of that kind of life force that I associate with guitar bands in full flight.”
This Van Halen-meets-Led Zeppelin approach seems to be working for the veteran rockers, who’ve already completed six tracks for the new album. The record is scheduled for release next summer.
