Irish Echo Editorial: Onward, but to where?

The Ulster Unionist Party, the party of Carson and Craig, has been struck low. David Trimble has resigned and the party’s long-term viability must now be in some doubt.
The rout of the UUP has opened the doors of the castle keep to Ian Paisley’s DUP.
If this was a soccer score it would be 9-1 with the unlikely figure of Lady Sylvia Hermon playing in goals for the whupped UUP.
Who would have believed this just a few short years ago?
