Irish respond to Haiti disaster

The technical team, which will be drawn from Irish Aid, the Government’s program for overseas development, will initially be charged with assessing needs on the ground, Minister for Foreign Affairs, Miche_l Martin and Minister of State for Overseas Development, Peter Power announced.
The Irish government has also pledged cash to the Irish aid agencies, Concern Worldwide and GOAL.
GOAL and Concern are already rushing aid and resources to the stricken island nation.
