It’s a girl thing

The baby, who was conceived with the assistance of an undisclosed donor, weighed in at a healthy 6 pounds, 6 ounces, according to O’Donnell’s publicist Cindi Berger. She also disclosed that the child measured 19 inches long.
“Mother and baby are just great,” she announced to reporters.
“Rosie is staying in the room with Kelli,” said Berger. “The birth was a week early, [but there were] no complications.”
In keeping with Rosie’s girl-power mantra of late, the baby’s name was inspired by the main character in the book, “The Diving Secrets of the Ya-Ya Sisterhood.” To which we say, hey, Rosie — pop culture references can sometimes backfire. Just wait until the kid is old enough to catch the movie, which featured otherwise dignified actresses like Sandra Bullock, Fionnula Flanagan and Ellen Burstyn bonding with one another by screeching “Ya Ya! YA YA!” at the drop of a hat. (Suddenly, Fifi Trixiebelle Geldof doesn’t sound so bad.) On the bright side, the baby’s middle name was chosen in honor of Rosie’s mother, who died of cancer 30 years ago.
Little Vivi, as she will be called, will join a household that’s chock full of siblings: 7-year-old Parker, 5-year-old Chelsea and 3-year-old Blake. We’re guessing that they’re named after Spiderman, Bill & Hil’s kid, and that “Dynasty” dude).
