In an interview with the Irish Echo at his embassy office in Dublin, James C. Kenny vowed President Bush would remain personally involved in the peace process, and committed to encouraging the British and Irish governments to fully implement the Good Friday agreement.
“I would say why the president is so engaged in this is that we need stories where there is a solution,” Kenny said. “It does potentially look like there’s some finality.
“Ireland, Northern Ireland, is a good example of that for us to use,” he said.
