New York’s Kerry Football Club will honor Maurice Fitzgerald of St. Mary’s, Caherciveen, at their annual dinner dance, which will be held Saturday, Feb. 17, at the Astoria World Manor in Queens.
The festivities will begin at 8 p.m. with a cocktail hour. There will be music by Shannon Breeze. Tickets are $75 per person.
This year’s double celebrations will include a few members of the recent victorious All-Ireland Champions and N.Y. Junior "B" title holders.
In addition to Fitzgerald, the club will honor Cyril Kearney of Cloghane, Castlegregory, as Clubman of the Year. Senior Player of the Year is Johnny O’Driscoll of Annascaul, Castlegregory. The Junior Player of the Year is Liam Hartnett, who was born in Dublin and lived in Eoin Ruas, Templeglantine, Co. Limerick.

Also, members are asked to attend the next dance meeting, which will be held Jan. 8 at 8 p.m. at the Breffni Pub, Queens Boulevard. The Kerry Ladies F.C. will hold their inaugural annual general meeting at 4 p.m. in the Aqueduct Bar on Katonah Avenue, Bronx.
