The handsome star found himself administering the Heimlich Maneuver on his sexy costar, Halle Berry, after an on-set joke caused her to choke with laughter — literally.
As they filmed a love scene for the Bond flick, “Die Another Day,” Pierce and Halle were sharing some healthy snacks along with a few kisses during a love scene. As Halle popped a piece of fruit into her mouth, Pierce cracked a joke. The two started to laugh, and then things went (pardon the expression) pear shaped.
“She gagged,” recalled Brosnan. “Suddenly there was no sound coming out.”
Realizing that there was no time to lose, Pierce leaped into action.
“I banged her on the back, then began putting my arms around her to do the Heimlich,” he said. “Somehow she expelled the fruit which was a good thing, because I’ve never given anyone the Heimlich before.”
Breathing (and order) restored, the two continued filming scenes for the movie, which opens next month.
