Na Fianna vs. Rockland
Sunday at noon
At Rockland
Following their recent victory over Mayo, the Na Fianna women are in buoyant mood. They have also secured a number of new top-quality players and if they continue to improve, they may surprise a few teams in the next few weeks. If they don’t beat Rockland easily on Sunday, then any aspirations they have of upsetting the top two are truly based on false pretense. Rockland have struggled all season. Sunday should bring no solace.

Ann Holland and her crew were disappointed with the Anne Kearney semifinal loss to Cavan. She’s adamant they won’t be caught napping again. Kerry started the season in scintillating form, but have since dipped. Fermanagh will be eager to bolster their confidence with a win on Sunday, though that won’t be easy against the Kingdom. Look for Kerry to win easily.
Donegal vs. Stamford
3 p.m.
This could prove to be the game of the day. Donegal looked good when in full flight earlier in the season and in Caroline Kelly and Aoife Gibson they have two real gems in attack. If they can get some help from other sectors, they’ll rattle this still-learning Stamford side. The Connecticut outfit will find it hard to penetrate a resolute Donegal defense. The Ulster ladies should win.
