Like father, like daughter

When this Ballinakill, East Galway, native performs beside his daughter, Mary, a former member of Cherish the Ladies, their musical approach becomes almost a cross-generational mission statement: take it easy and savor the scenery.
During their Feb. 8 concert sponsored by Fr. Charlie Coen at the American Legion hall in Rhinebeck, N.Y., Mike and Mary Rafferty evoked the kind of musical scenery any audience could enjoy, and this one certainly did.
