Long Islander Robert Flynn dead at 41

Flynn, who was 41, lived in Southampton. He is survived by his wife, Karen, and their children, Carris, Michael, and William, as well as by his parents William and Peg, brothers Bill and James, and sister Maureen.
Flynn worked in construction with his brother Bill. Their company, W.J. Flynn and Associates, renovated homes in the Hamptons area.
Flynn was a 1981 graduate of Garden City High School and later attended Iona College. The avid golfer adored his three children.
William Flynn Sr. is the chairman of Mutual of America as well as the National Committee on American Foreign Policy.
Flynn died when he struck his head on ice after a fall in Southampton during a storm on Monday, March 7. Services and interment were held last week.
