McDowell claims immunity

The Belfast-based newspaper’s editor and publisher are suing the minister for libel after he compared it, even before it began publication, with a Nazi propaganda sheet.
In response to McDowell’s decision, the paper’s management accused him of “hiding behind the cloak” of state immunity because he could not back up his “Nazi slur” in court.
