Actually, maybe that’s not really starting at the top — after all, Guy did direct the unbearable (his wife Madonna) in the unwatchable (his movie, ‘Swept Away’) in search of the unattainable (critical approval). But everyone deserves a second chance — hey, even U2’s “Pop” fizzled — so we’ll keep an open mind.
Mikey will star in “Hey Mr. DJ” opposite “Snatch” star Mike Reid (better known as “EastEnders” rogue Frank Butcher). We hear that the plot will involve lots of 1980s music, which should be a learning experience for Graham, who was probably still in training pants when MTV was born. We can remember when Boyzone released a cover version of Billy Ocean’s “When the Going Gets Tough” a couple of years ago. They helpfully explained to their fans that the song was “an oldie” and that their mothers would remember it.
