Rangers defeated St. Raymond’s on Sunday in a fiercely competitive match. Rangers’ best were Derek Courtney, Kevin Coughlan, Brian Morris and Barry Mullen. St. Raymonds top players were Mark Centrowitz, Steve Greaney, Sean Nugent and David Ryan.

Celtics 2-5, New Jersey 2-2
In Fairlawn, N.J., an exciting game of football was played Saturday between host New Jersey and the Celtics. The visitors prevailed after a comeback in the second half. Celtics top players were Dan Tierney, Alison Traynor, Kieran Patton, Sean Tierney and C.J. Molloy. New Jersey’s best were Gurley, Powers and the Ruane brothers.

Celtics 4-4, St. Barnabas 1-2
In this match, played on Sept. 26, Celtics’ top players were Kieran Patton, Alison Traynor, Rory Cregan, Brian Hegarty and super sub Shane Connor.
Under-12
Celtics 5-5, Barnabas 1-0
Celtics were too strong for St. Barnabas. Excelling for Celtics were Brian Slattery, Conor McKeon, Mike Dormer, Liam McArdle and James Farrelly.
Performing well for St. Barnabas were Kevin Hannon, Joey Graziosa and Barry Sullivan.
Under-14
Celtics 4-6, Barnabas 0-7
This was a superb game of football. The scoreline is deceiving. Celtic midfielder Sean Farrelly was a dominant figure and was ably assisted by forwards Gary McGurk, Anthony Goodwin and defenders Ed Sheeran, Harry Rimmer and John McArdle.
On the St. Barnabas side, Doug Brady, David Hannon, Andrew Donoghue and the Harrison brothers played well.
