Celtics and St. Barnabas squared off in an exciting four-game series at Paddy’s Field on Sunday morning.
In the U14 game, Celtics were dominant, with a 4-8 to 2-4 win. Brian Slattery (1-1) Peter Reph (0-4 ) controlled centerfield for the winners. John McArdle (1-0), Harry Rinner (1-1), Patrick Traynor (1-0), Chris Collerian (0-2), Michael Woods, Pat Duffy, James Farrelly, and C.J. Molloy, who was playing only his third game for Celtics Sunday morning, also excelled. Best for St. Barnabas were Kevin Hannon, John Mulligan, Barry Sullivan (0-2), Gary Harrison, Brendan Mulroy (0-2), Tom Brady and Mickey Butler.
The day started with another excellent U8 contest, St. Barnabas winning by 3-2 to Celtics 2-2.
In the U10, Celtics remained unbeaten with a 5-4 to 3-2 victory over the men from Woodlawn. Celtics lineup included Chris O’Connor, Brendan Guerrier, Kieran Patton, Eamon Tierney, Allison Traynor, Daniel Tierne, Michael Lange, C.J. Molloy, Carl McGovern, Eaghan Kyne, Rory Cregan, Brian Curley, Anthony Smith, Shane O’Connor, Aisling Smith, David Looney, Keith Langem, and James Guerrier. St. Barnabas sent out Brenda McMannigan, Shane Flanagan, Pat Hallinan, Kevin Chambers, Conor Hogan, Brian McGovern, Bobby Chambers, Thomas Neihus, Padraig McDaid, Jack Hannon, Michael Butler, Liam McKeown, Timmy Murray, Gerald Dunleavy, Anthony Cienz, P.J. McDermott, and James Mulligan.
St. Barnabas carved out a 4-5 to 4-4 win over Celtics in the U12 contest. Playing for St. Barnabas were James Jandelli, Pat Hallinan, Nick Maronte, Bobby Chambers, Danny Kocat, Ger Dunleavy, Thomas Brady, Thomas McGovern, Ger Kehoe, Garry Claney, Tim Murray, Mike Nallan, Danny Helbig, and Mike McMorrow. For Celtics, it was Kevin McArdle, Shane O’Connor, Kevin Hegarty, Chris McSweeney, Brendan Guierra, Ciaran Patton, Mike Lane, Conor McKeon, Brian Hegarty, Sean Tierney, C.J.
