Miss Ireland is the Lady in Red

Aptly enough, she wore red for her coronation – echoing one of her father’s greatest hits, Lady In Red.
In the same week, there was bad news about another famous beauty pageant – the Rose of Tralee contest.
Reports pointed to mounting financial difficulties for the 45-year-old festival that draws contestants from all over the world, including close to a dozen every year from cities and regions around the U.S. and Canada.
In one report, the festival was described as “wilting under a huge debt burden.”
The report, in the Irish Independent, said that the festival had appealed for help from its creditors.
“It wants them to accept just 30 percent of what they are owed,” the paper reported.
