Moloney, Moore face GAA challenges

The New York GAA will elect officers for 1999 this weekend. Elections will be held Sunday, Dec. 6, at 2 p.m. at the Lansdowne Bar, 6159 Broadway, at 251st Street, in the Bronx.

Among the highlights are contests for the two top spots, with incumbent President Monty Moloney and First Vice President John Moore being challenged by Liam Bermingham and Brendan O’Sullivan, respectively. Nominations close Thursday.

Here is the current list of candidates:

President — Monty Moloney*, Rangers, F.C.; Liam Bermingham (Cork F.C.).

1st V.P. — John Moore*, Westmeath F.C.; Brendan O’Sullivan, Limerick H.C..
