More honors for Moore

So it comes as no great surprise that the Comedy Arts Festival bestowed its Freedom of Speech award upon him last Saturday evening.
Moore didn’t make the cut for the Oscars, so Academy president Frank Pierson shouldn’t be surprised if a certain documentary crew starts following him. But his searing “Columbine” film, which explores the American fascination with guns, has earned him a nomination for a Writer’s Guild of America award.
