N.Y. attorney wins apology from Indo

The report, which was written by a New York-based journalist employed by the Daily Mail of London, was first published in that paper, then reproduced by both the Dublin-published Independent and the News of the World in Britain.
The Independent version prompted Galvin to take an action in the Irish High Court.
The outcome was a prominently displayed apology from the Independent in a recent issue.
Galvin said that the case had been settled out of court and that he is happy with the apology and the fact that his legal costs had been paid by the newspaper.
