Junior Hurling “A”Mayo vs. Rangers1 p.m.
It was a great debut for the Westerners in their opening encounter, and they will have gained both valuable experience and confidence. They will need to call upon all of their reserves to force the issue this Sunday.
A comfortable victory for Rangers in their first outing, and with Westport, vanquished opponents on that occasion, having recorded a victory recently, all augers well for the blues.
Brendan KeaneKnockout FinalKilkenny vs. Limerick2:30 p.m.
Once again Kilkenny find themselves in the ultimate stage of a competition. They have undoubtedly learned from their recent experiences and should be all the better for these outings. They have one big advantage now that they have dispensed with Tipp and Sunday should witness them break their long barren spell.

Limerick were impressive in overcoming Westmeath in their last outing, and with several newcomers slotting well into the side, they will prove formidable opposition.
Senior Football Div. 1Cork vs. Roscommon4 p.m.
Cork were the surprise package of the opening round. Forcing a draw with the defending champions was impressive, but they will also count themselves unlucky not to have secured two points. A similar performance this week should obtain the full return.
Roscommon displayed a lot of character in coming from behind to see off Cavan and another similar outing will pose Cork problems.
Senior Football Div. 2Clare vs. Sligo5:30 p.m.
A farcical outing for Clare in their opener saw them romp home. An easy two points which they won’t read too much into. A much more difficult proposition this week, but a victory will leave Pat Scanlon’s side sitting pretty.
Sligo left their best much too late against Offaly. A better performance will be required this week to keep their championship ambitions alive.
