Natasha nose her way around

The blonde actress says that, until a casting agent suggested it, the idea of surgery had never occurred to her.
“I’d never considered changing my nose,” she said. “It was just part of me and any issues I had about myself were to do with my weight.”
Natasha, worried that she might be typecast as a character actress, consulted her famous mother, Vanessa Redgrave, on the matter. Regrave said that she didn’t think Natasha had anything to worry about. And then she uttered the phrase guaranteed to send a daughter out into the night, screaming.
” ‘Don’t be silly darling,'” she said. “Look at Barbra Streisand.'” Which are not exactly the words an aspiring actress wants to hear.
Natasha’s father, the actor Tony Richardson, was a bit more direct.
“I’m so pleased you mentioned it, darling,” he said. “I’ve been meaning to say something for some time.”
So Natasha went under the knife for a slight alteration. And the rest, as they say, is history.
