Danu goes “Underground”
We’re hearing great things, both from and about Irish trad band Danu. Check them out for yourself tonight, Sept. 25, when they perform at Village Underground, 130 West 3rd St. (between Sixth Avenue and MacDougal Street) in NYC. We have to confess: every time we saw “Riverdance,” we counted the minutes until Eileen Ivers bounded onstage for her solo spot. Blue violin tucked firmly under her chin, Ivers would skip, dance and make that fiddle sing. This week, our neighbors to the north (of NYC, that is) will get to see the Eileen Ivers Band perform live.
