The 36-year-old singer, whose fame is based as much on her shapely bum as on her pleasant singing voice, has wisely decided to diversify. Gone are the shiny gold hot pants and the wiggly dance moves: Kylie has decided to reinvent herself as a jazz singer.
Before you start imagining Kylie taking style tips from Al Jolson — or, god forbid, Neil “The Hirsute” Diamond — relax. The “Can’t Get You Out of My Head” is merely saying na-na-na, na-na-na-na-na to the dance material and instead working on a more “grown-up sound,” according to Ireland Online’s entertainment section.
“She wants . . . to reflect how she has matured,” said an insider. And anyway, she’s probably gotten her wear out of the Daisy Dukes.
