New & Noteworthy: Nadine has star quality

(Oh, and we hear she can sing a bit, too.) Now we hear that Irish popmeister Louis Walsh has vowed, once again, to make the Derry youngster a major star.
Nadine made the age cut for Walsh’s new show, “Popstars: The Rivals,” for which he is one of the judges. Not that he’s biased or nuthin’, but Louis has given Nadine the seal of approval.
“This is my girl,” he announced to all and sundry at the start of the series. “I won’t let her escape. She’s got star quality.”
Assuming he’s right, we have one small bit of advice for the budding superstar. Nadine, sweetie, if you’re going to lie about your age, be sure to subtract. You’ll thank us when you hit 29 for the third or fourth time. Trust us.
