Former talk show host Rosie O’Donnell, who is being sued for $300 million by Gruhner + Jahn, publishers of the soon-to-be defunct Rosie magazine, has filed a countersuit against the company. The former Queen of Nice has also launched a media blitz to tell her side of the story. She’s on so many shows lately that we almost expect her to pop up on “Survivor: Thailand” to complain about the damage to her “brand.”
We caught a very edgy O’Donnell on CNN’s “American Morning with Paula Zahn” yesterday. She said that she can’t wait for the case to go to court. And she said that if she wins, all the money will go to charity. And, as an added bonus, she thinks that the case will be the most riveting thing on Court-TV “Since the O.J. Simpson trial.”
“Bring it on!” she snarled into the camera. Which made us think less of Court-TV and more of, say, the WWE (World Wrestling Entertainment, to those who don’t watch enough quality TV.)
