New & Noteworthy: Sinead reveals her artistic side

Contrary to reports that Sinead was spending all of her down time giving birth, fighting the scourge of head lice (via the organization “NittWit”) and taking out full-page newspaper ads asking everyone to leave her the heck alone, the singer managed to carve out a few hours to do some art modeling. The oil painting, by Irish artist Jim Fitzpatrick, features Sinead reclining on a bed, clad only in stockings, shoes and jewelry. To spare her blushes (and ours), the singer is pictured from behind, though her face is visible in a small mirror.
According to IrelandOnline, the portrait was originally commissioned by a Dublin nightclub, whose owners had planned to hang it in a prominent spot. Sinead bought the artwork instead, and only recently decided to put it up for sale.
