The Westlife lead singer — or, the dark-haired one in the middle, as we like to think of him — has announced that he and his Sligo sweetie plan to tie the knot in the Land of Heart’s Desire, as it says on the county’s coat of arms. And they have no intention of skulking around under blankets on their big day.
“I would never sell my wedding pictures to a glossy magazine,” Gillian told showbizireland.com.
“After seeing how it’s done — with the bride having to walk to the church with a big sheet over her head behind big screens — I know I don’t want it,” she declared.
“I wouldn’t put my family and friends through it.”
Now, we’re sure Gill wasn’t trying to have a go at Bryan and Kerry, whose exclusive deal with OK! magazine forced them to go to their own wedding dressed in clown suits and big red noses. She’s just talking about the way she likes things done, OK? (Actually, make that not OK!)
In more Westlife news, we hear that the almost-too-cute-to-be-human bandmember Kian Egan has broken up with his girlfriend, Swedish dancer Jessica Forsman. The couple, who met when the sultry Swede was hired as part of the stage show for Westlife’s last world tour, has apparently danced their — pardon the expression — last dance.
