Well, she left her long-standing role in the Irish soap “Glenrose” with a bang (actually, make that a crash), and now she’s set to make a splash in New York. Mary McEvoy, who played the long-suffering Biddy Byrne on Ireland’s answer to “EastEnders,” debuts this week as one of the stars of J.P. Dunleavy’s “The Ginger Man” at the Irish Arts Center in New York City. In addition to McEvoy, the show stars David Murray, Julie Hale and Karl Hayden. The show was directed by Ronan Wilmot.

We have 10 pairs of tickets to give away to lucky readers who can answer the following ridiculously easy question:

What was the name of Biddy’s husband on “Glenroe”?

(Hint: the answer rhymes with “smiley.”)
