Nicole: the motherly type?

Just look at Sally Field: One minute, she’s playing Tom Hanks’s love interest in “Punchline” (1988) and then, shazaam, six years later, she’s Tom’s mother in “Forrest Gump.”
We bring this up only because we just heard that Nicole Kidman, 35, is set to play Leo DiCaprio’s mommie dearest in the upcoming “Alexander the Great.” Nice gig, except that Leo’s a strapping 28 years old. We did hear that the producers are willing to “age” her as she watches her little warrior grow into his prime fighting years. Which, we suppose, is something.
